Adam Wright

Adam Wright studied at the Royal Academy of Music from 1996-2000, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree. Whist at the Academy he studied with John Wallace, James Watson and Robert Farley and was the recipient of the Millennium Prize. In 2006 he was appointed Sub-Principal trumpet with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and 2nd trumpet with the London Chamber Orchestra, with whom he played at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge earlier this year. As well as these permanent positions he works with groups such as the London Sinfonietta, Royal Ballet Sinfonia and the King’s Consort. In 2007 he was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of his success within the profession. Beside his playing career, Adam has a busy teaching schedule and is Vice Chairman of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
