Get Lucky is a song by music duo Daft Punk, which featured American singer Pharrell Williams. It was co-written by the duo, Williams, and Nile Rodgers. A clear disco song with lyrics that, according to Williams, are about the good fortune of connecting with someone. Get Lucky has received acclaim from critics and has spawned numerous cover versions and parodies. It reached number one in several countries, including France, giving Daft Punk their first top-10 hit in the United States.

Description

5 Part Pops for Brass is part of a new collection of 25 Pop inspired arrangements for Brass Quintet arranged by Chris Wilcox.

We hope this repertoire will prompt a growing inquisitiveness for young brass players, and was created with a brass club or gathering in mind.

All transposed parts are included.

Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 in Paris, who achieved great popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement and had success in the years following, combining elements of house music with funk, techno, disco, indie rock and pop. They are considered one of the most influential acts in dance music history. Nile Gregory Rodgers Jr. (born September 19, 1952) is an American guitarist, singer-songwriter, record producer and arranger. The co-founder of Chic, Rodgers has written, produced, and performed on albums that have sold more than 500 million copies and 75 million singles worldwide. He is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a three-time Grammy Award-winner, and the chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Known for his "chucking" guitar style, Rolling Stone Magazine wrote in 2014 that "the full scope of Nile Rodgers' career is still hard to fathom". Originally known as the Big Apple Band Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards, formed Chic releasing their self-titled debut album in 1977. With Edwards, Rodgers wrote and produced music for other artists, including the songs He's the Greatest Dancer and We Are Family for Sister Sledge and I'm Coming Out and Upside Down for Diana Ross. After Chic's breakup in 1983, Rodgers produced several major singles for other artists, including David Bowie's Let's Dance, Original Sin by INXS, Duran Duran's The Reflex and Notorious and Madonna's Like a Virgin. Pharrell Lanscilo Williams (born April 1973) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer and entrepreneur. Alongside close friend Chad Hugo, he formed the hip hop and R&B production duo The Neptunes in the early 1990s, with whom he has produced songs for various recording artists. In 1999, he became lead vocalist of the band N.E.R.D., which he formed with Hugo and Shay Haley. Williams released his debut solo album, In My Mind, in 2006. In 2013, he was featured on the song Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke and T.I. In the same year, he was featured on Daft Punk's latest recording, which won Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 56th Grammy Awards. While providing vocals for French duo Daft Punk's 2013 album Random Access Memories, on the songs Lose Yourself to Dance and Get Lucky, he returned to the USA from the recording sessions in Paris and attended a meeting with record label managers who said that the results were so spectacular, and that Get Lucky would be Daft Punk's next single. They also made Williams an offer to record his own album, to which he agreed quickly.
