This rock style piece aims to reflect the elements of tension and release as the clocks ticks down. Imagine trying to solve clues to obtain an answer within a limited amount of time, or perhaps trying to complete a test under time-controlled conditions – “you have 90 seconds, or else….”.
PARP ! - a collection of thirty original compositions.
Set at a Junior Band level, PARP ! follows a flexi scoring formula of mixed brass players; requiring a minimum of 4 brass players - but the maximum number is endless.
The pieces are predominantly groove based and seek to take participants through a wide range of styles and musical identities.
In the instance of using just four brass players, playing just the top part in each case will provide a cohesive performance.
