Set at a Junior Band level, PARP ! follows a flexi scoring formula of mixed brass players; requiring a minimum of 4 brass players - but the maximum number is endless. The pieces are predominantly groove based and seek to take participants through a wide range of styles and musical identities. In the instance of using just four brass players, playing just the top part in each case will provide a cohesive performance.
Imagine a family party or gathering including some long-lost or never-seen-before relatives. When the music starts, the weird old lady in the corner insists on getting up and throwing some shapes. Is it not the case that most families have one ?
