Happy is a song written, produced, and performed by American singer Pharrell Williams, released as the first and only single from the soundtrack album of the film Despicable Me 2 (2013). Happy is an uptempo soul song on which Williams's falsetto voice has been compared to Curtis Mayfield's. The song has been highly successful, reaching No. 1 in the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and 19 other countries.

We hope this repertoire will prompt a growing inquisitiveness for young brass players, and was created with a brass club or gathering in mind.

All transposed parts are included.

Happy was the best-selling song of 2014 in the USA with 6.45 million copies sold and became the most downloaded song of all time in the UK in September 2014. The music video for Happy was nominated for Best Male Video and Video of the Year at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Music Video at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Pharrell Lanscilo Williams (born April 1973) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer and entrepreneur. Alongside close friend Chad Hugo, he formed the hip hop and R&B production duo The Neptunes in the early 1990s, with whom he has produced songs for various recording artists. In 1999, he became lead vocalist of the band N.E.R.D., which he formed with Hugo and Shay Haley. Williams released his debut solo album, In My Mind, in 2006. In 2013 he was featured on Daft Punk's latest recording, which won Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 56th Grammy Awards.While providing vocals for French duo Daft Punk's 2013 album Random Access Memories, on the songs Lose Yourself to Dance and GetLucky, he returned to the USA from the recording sessions in Paris and attended a meeting with record label managers who said that the results were so spectacular and that Get Lucky would be Daft Punk's next single. They also made Williams an offer to record his own album, to which he agreed quickly.
