Description

We all know that playing in a band is, for us brass players what it is all about.

Band Travels seeks to take brass instrumentalists (and drummers / percussionists) on a global journey of musical discovery by exploring characteristic music of each country visited.

Band Travels seeks to provide young musicians with an easy and initial point of access at which ensemble playing can be enjoyed and developed. It follows a 4 part flexi scoring formula; requiring a minimum of 4 brass players - the maximum number is endless !.

Parts 1 and 2 are played by trumpets / cornets while Parts 3 and 4 are played by a flexi combination of all / any other lower brass instruments.

Drum kit and percussion help add a stylistic identity to each piece.

To help with programming, you may wish to visit just some of the other countries available.

Ready for the Off can serve as an opening piece and Homeward Bound as a finisher.

You may wish to include also include a stopover on your global journey, in which case Staying Put will serve well.
