Description

Milenberg was a town on the southern shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana that was absorbed into the city of New Orleans. Important in the early development of jazz. Bands from different parts of the city and across racial lines would listen to each other and try to outdo each other here.

“Many recordings over the last few decades have demonstrated the superb quality of British brass playing; 'Under the Spell of Spain' will rightfully take its place among them.”
